The Path of the Medicines - Connecting to the elemental & spiritual roots of the plant medicines
Ceremonial Retreat in beautiful Santa Ynez, CA (north of Santa Barbara) with Mayan Kamal B'ey (Spiritual Guide) Tat Erick Gonzalez
Thurs, April 19th (12 Kan) - Sun April 22nd (2 Q'anil)
In this retreat Tat Erick Gonzalez will introduce a comprehensive journey of making plant allies for guidance, joy, and wellness in our lives. Through teachings, setting up altars (mesas) of the plant allies, and working with the sacred fire, we learn to return to a place of honor, respect, and right relationship with the plant teachers.
Each participant will bring 5 or 7 bowls of their favorite dried or fresh plants or incense, that call to you, as well as an incense burner or shell. (One of the bowls should be of dried grasses and other materials to make a "nest" for sparking a fire). Each person will be working with their medicines through creating an altar and with the sacred fire.
Schedule:
- Thurs 4/19 (12 Kan): Arrive by 10 am, welcome & lunch, afternoon mesa/altar teachings, dinner, evening sharing.
- Fri 4/20 (13 Keme): Breakfast, set up mesas/altars, lunch, teachings/working with medicine altars, dinner, night prayer vigil to work with the medicines & the fire.
- Sat 4/21 (1 Kiej): Sunrise ceremony, breakfast, rest and integration time & sharing circle, preparations for community Mayan Fire, dinner.
- Sun 4/22 (2 Q'anil): Breakfast, 10 am Mayan Fire & Flowering Staff Ceremony followed by potluck meal, depart at 5 pm
Contribution: $395 as One of Four Ceremonial Gifts (contact us for more details) Participants must arrive by 10 am on Thursday, April 19th.
We will have indoor accommodations on a first come-first serve basis (others can camp) at a beautiful home in Santa Ynez, CA (near Santa Barbara) and will be preparing meals community style (food offerings are another one of the 4 Gifts).
